Zangen-Ampere-/Multimeter Graupner 1955 Description
The handy clamp-on ammeter/multimeter enables direct and alternating currents from 100 mA to 399.9 A to be measured contactlessly without disconnecting the lines. In addition, direct and alternating voltages from 1 mV to 600 V and resistances from 1 to 40 M can be measured with the help of the measuring leads supplied. This enables almost all
the measured values which arise in model building to be recorded, e.g. the current draw of electric motors and the voltage of batteries.
It is essential for the current draw of electric motors to be measured in order to adapt aircraft propellers, ships propellers and gears to the optimum level of efficiency.
The current is measured in the battery supply line. Electric motors must be correctly adapted to prevent the speed controller and the batteries being overloaded. An integrated memory allows the actual value to be permanently "frozen" during the measurement.
