The first of Tyrrells own cars the 001 saw its debut in the Canadian GPof 1970. Qualified on pole by Jackie Stewart the car proved at first tobe fast but unreliable, retiring with a broken axle while leading. ButFormula One was soon to be taken by storm by this small UK team, withthe same design taking Stewart to the title in 1971. This icon ofFormula One history is now available for the first time in Scalextricform, appearing as it did at that first Formula one race in Canada.
