Dragon has drawn together a trio of 1/700 scale plastic warships fromWWII. In fact, they’re all destroyers, representing three warships ofthe US Navy (USN) that fought in the Pacific. When war engulfed the USAin December 1941, the USN had 100 modern destroyers. However, withgreater dangers presented by submarines and aircraft, destroyers grew insize in order to accommodate better weapons and radars and to provide greater survivability throughout the war.

Each of these kits allows modelers to choose either of two ship optionssince the appropriate components and decals are all included in the box.They fought in the ferocious Pacific battles, some being lost in combatand others present for the surrender ceremony in Tokyo Bay in 1945.Aircraft carriers might gain a lot of the limelight for their role inthe Pacific War, but destroyers to escort them were critical assets too.
