The TWR ran Jaguar XJS were a staple of early 1980s touring car racing,despite the couple only very slightly fitting the description of atouring car! Some of the cars most notable successes came in enduranceraces, not least the 24 hours of Spa Francochamps. Here in 1982 the bigJaguars scored a fantastic pole position, but the car was sadly retireddue to accident damage and the race was won by a rival division 3 BMW.But the Motul backed black Jaguars certainly looked the part and thecars have cemented a place in racing history ever since.
