jLog 2.6GW Telemetrie HoTT/Jive, Kosmik Graupner 33638.GW
Description of item: JLog is a special RC data logger, alarm generator and telemetry gateway.
Logging, telemetry and alarms: it all comes down to sensors. JLog 2.6 supports the following sensors:
ESC as a virtual multi-sensor, the special thing about JLog:- Kontronik JIVE
- Kontronik KOSMIK
- Castle Creations ICE/Edge series with Castle Link Live activated. (If SPEKTRUM- or HiTec telemetry is being used in parallel, the JCC adapter is recommended.)
- Graupner/SJ Brushless Control +T series
- (more currently in development)
- Discrete sensors for other measurements away from the controller:
- 1 to 5 Maxim DS18B20 12-bit digital temperature sensors (tested for compatibility: SM model building SM#2820)
- Standard speed sensor (tested with sensors by various manufacturers, potentially any speed sensor can be used). Specifically tested with Graupner/SJ #33615 with S8364, #33616, #33621, #33622, SM model building SM#2210 (BL phase sensor), SM#2211 (optical), SM#2213 (magnetic))
- Sensor for an external voltage 0..12.8 V (requires self-build voltage divider 1:5, 2 resistors)
- Speed sensor SM#2560 (Prandtl probe, generally known as Pitot or static tube)
- R²prototyping HV²BEC as virtual multi-sensor (Data Link)
- Accordingly: 16S intelligent cell voltage sensor
- Telemetry (integration in transmitter and receiver) is one of the fastest growing developments in the RC industry. Unfortunately it is often accompanied by an incomplete set of sensors and/or absence of interoperability with existing controllers.JLog is special in that as well as being able to integrate and log the various sensors listed above, it also supports the advanced option of sending captured data to a transmitter via a telemetry connection.
- The following systems are supported at the current time:
- Multiplex MSBv2
- JETI v1 and EX
- Graupner/SJ HoTTv4
- Futaba S.BUS2 (FASSTest)
- JR Propo (DMSS)
- SPEKTRUM via TM1000 X-Bus
- HiTec
- Self-build: X-Bee-based telemetry
- Additional "wired telemetry", Live Display:
- OpenFormat live stream in 4 configurable baud rates
- SM Unidisplay
- JETIbox (all models)
- Graupner/SJ SmartBox
- Sensors and telemetry in an R/C model require intelligent (status-dependent) alarm generation. JLog monitors the data and generates configurable alarms.
- Alarm sources supported: Virtual ESC sensors (controller):
- Battery voltage
- Capacity consumed in mAh (calculated)
- Temperature of the power FETs (output stages)
- BEC voltage drop
- Discrete sensors:
- external temperatures (1 to 5)
- Output voltage of the HV²BEC, mapped to the BEC voltage of the virtual ESC sensor
- An external voltage 0 ... 12.8 V, mapped to external temperature #1
- min./max. air speed
- There are various ways in which an alarm condition can be signalled. In the R/C model:
- Configurable alarm lines for self-build alarm generators (buzzers, flashing lights), TTL low-active
- Line 1 (general alarm line) - configurable types: switched, pulsating (buzzer), flashing, Morse
- Line 2: optional, to isolate the mAh alarm, type: switched
- When connected to a telemetry system, JLog fully supports the generation of alarms via this, depending on its options. Alarms (up to 10 types) are also logged (some do this, others do not; Futaba, JR, HiTec generally, SPEKTRUM to some extent andJETI optionally generate alarms in the terminal/transmitter).
- Log recording: (only available as an option via update)
- Format: Open format (LogView, DataExplorer)
- Log data: 31 in 1 channel
- Medium: Micro SD, 2 GB, FAT16
- JLog 2.6GW can start and run without an SD card too, no log recording.
Scope of delivery:- JLog 2.6
- UNI (JR) servo cable for your controller (some controllers require additional cables, please follow the instructions at http://www.j-log.eu/start)
- Special cable for connection with a Kontronik KOSMIK
- 2 GB micro SD card
- USB micro SD card reader
