Info
ARTR (Almost Ready To Run)
The USS Missouri ("Mighty Mo") is a former United States Navy Iowa-class battleship. It was put into service in 1944 and took part in the Pacific theatre of World War II from 1945. On 2 September 1945 Japans political and military representatives surrendered on the foredeck of the USS Missouri, so history was written and the Second World War ended on this ship. From 1950 onwards the battleship was deployed in the Korean War and after that decommissioned into the reserve fleets. It remained here until 1984, after which it was significantly modernised and deployed in the Second Gulf War. Today the Missouri is berthed at Pearl Harbor (Hawaii), where it can be visited in its capacity as a museum ship.
High-quality, first-class model with outstanding detailing.
