The Motor Controller (MC) Balancer is a safety module which prevents individual cells in a LiPo battery pack becoming deep-discharged whilst the model is flying.
The MC Balancer is connected between receiver output and speed controller, the voltage sensor cable connected to the LiPo pack, therby the MC-Balancer can monitor the voltage of each cell during the discharge process. If a single cell reaches the defined lowest voltage value, the MC-Balancer slowly reduces the performance of the speed controller to a somewhat lower level than that demanded by the stick position. This signals to the pilot that the voltage level is getting low. By this performance reduction, the cell voltage climbs and tyhe MC-Balancer allows a littel more power to be used. This process is repeated until the battery is discharged and energy levels are no longer enough for continued flying In this time, this pilot has plenty of time to make a landing. Dange or destruction of LiPo cells through deep discharge, are effectively stopped by the MC-Balancer. MC-Balancer- the life insurance for your valuable LiPo batteries. the cut-off voltage is selectable between 2,7 and 3 Volt/cell by using the jumper plug. The MC-Balancer can, in principle, be connected between every speed controller or switch, it doesnt matter whether a brushed or brushless - motor is in use. Able to be used for speed controllers with opto-isolators as well as BEC- system.
