The robbe-starters allow fast, reliable starting of two and four-stroke engines up to .60 resp. 1.20 cubic inch (10 resp. 20 cm3) The rugged electric motors deliver very high torque, for instant starting. The switch on the long side of the motor falls readily to hand, and the relatively low weight (Starter 60 approx. 1,6 kg, Starter 120 approx 3 kg) makes both starters easy to handle. The aluminium starter cone with hard rubber insert and grooved V-belt pulley make the starters equally at home starting engines in aircraft, boats and helicopters. The moulded feet provide a stable base, protecing the cone and switch from dirt and damage. The connecting lead is about 1.50 m long and features two strong and large battery clips, even suitable for direct connection to a 12 V car battery.
