If you install two 3S2P Li-Po batteries in a Spirit L-16, then we recommend that you fit a 13-tooth motor pinion. The result is an overall reduction ratio of 1 : 17.3 (for long flight times). For a higher performance an alternative 14-tooth motor pinion can be installed (overall reduction ratio 1 : 16.1). Ventilation openings must be cut in the canopy to avoid the motor temperature reaching excessive levels. The pinions are designed for electric motors with a shaft diameter of 5 mm, and the set includes the M4 grubscrews required.
