The robbe Frequency Checker provides a simple means of monitoring a particular frequency band, to establish which channels are in use by other model pilotsThe unit features an array of LEDs corresponding to individual channels. When switched on, the unit constantly scans the entire frequency band, and the LEDs flash in sequence to indicate this process.
If a channel is in use, the corresponding LED lights up continuously. If several LEDs glow simultaneously, this means that those channels are in use. If a continuously lit LED goes out the next time the band is scanned, then that channel is free again. The scanning process takes place in an endless loop until the unit is switched off.An important tool for monitoring frequency bands and for preventing channel clashes, i.e. more than one transmitter on the same frequency.
The unit is powered by three AAA-size cells.Effective range is around 100 metres without the aerial, and around 300 metres with the aerial fitted. |
