The ultra-compact 2.4 GHz receiver does not feature an external flexible wire aerial; it is superseded by two special aerials arranged inside the case at 90° to each other.There are two great advantages to the new aerial arrangement: on the one hand the 90° offsetaerials (aerial diversity) are much less vulnerable to attitude problems than conventional whip or flexible wire aerials, i.e. the system substantially reduces so-called "dead points". On the other hand the receiver is much simpler to handle and install. It also eliminates the problem of accidentally ripping out the aerial.The receiver automatically detects the type of modulation in use, and can switch between standard FM and HRS-FM modulation.
