WP WRIGHT-FLYER Graupner 4416 The brothers Wilbur and Orville Wright built this aircraft and used it to complete the world´s first manned flight under power. The first flight, on 17 December 1903, lasted 12 seconds. During subsequent flights on the same day Wilbur Wright finally kept it aloft for 59 seconds, during which he flew a distance of around 900 metres. Our model of the FLYER I is a miniature of the world´s first powered aircraft. Naturally the materials we employ are different from those of that period: the wing and tail panels are moulded in high-density foam, while the fuselage frame consists of injection-moulded plastic parts. The FLYER I is powered by two electric motors which can be switched on and off by radio, i.e. switching both motors on and off in flight alters the model´s altitude. Turns are flown by reducing the speed of one motor. For example, for a left turn the right-hand motor turns faster, and vice versa. The model is supplied completely assembled. Illustrated instructions, factory-assembled model, flight battery, RC system, replacement propellers, replacement tailplane panels, wind pennant. Right/left
