WP SUKHOI SU 31(2,10 M) Graupner 6243 Along with the familiar EXTRAs and CAPs the SUKHOI SU 31 is undoubtedly one of the world´s finest and most popular aerobatic machines, and is especially renowned for its fast roll rate and excellent snap-roll characteristics. In designing our model we placed top priority on superb handling in the air, and we modified the moment arms and control surfaces slightly compared with the full-size machine in order to optimise the model´s flying characteristics, especially its general manoeuvrability and snap roll characteristics, together with exceptional handling at low speed. The SUKHOI meets in full the requirements of the F3AX competition class, and is prepared for installation of the ZDZ 40 petrol engine, i.e. the kit includes a completely finished motor mounting system which is very easy to install. For ease of transport the wings and tail panels are removable, and are fitted on aluminiumjoiner tubes. The ailerons and elevators are of “elastic flap” configuration, i.e. they are reinforced and hinged with Kevlar strips during the manufacturing process. The wings are fitted as standard with Servo-Locks, while the tailplane panels feature pre-cut servo wells.
The wing and tailplane panels are supplied ready-made and covered with white Oracover film. The epoxy / glass fuselage, cowl, rudder, wheel fairings, canopy frame, and all other GRP parts are supplied white-pigmented, and feature carbon reinforcements at highly stressed areas.
The fuselage is supplied with all formers, engine bulkhead, undercarriage support, servo plate and tail post factory-installed - even the all-GRP rudder is included, ready to fit. The main undercarriage and tailwheel unit are of CFRP construction, and the kit also includes the vibration-damped engine mount and fixings for the ZDZ 40 engine.

Building instructions in German, English and French. White-pigmented GRP and CFRP-reinforced parts (fuselage, cowl, canopy frame, rudder, wheel fairings, CFRP main undercarriage and tailwheel unit). All fuselage formers factory-fitted. Engine mount for ZDZ 40 petrol engine, ready to install. Balsa-skinned wing and tailplane panels, covered in white Oracover film, factory-fitted joiner components and servo mounts, ailerons and elevators hinged using “elastic flap” method. The kit also includes: all small items required to complete the basic model in an all-white finish, heavy-duty aluminium wing and tailplane joiner tubes, plus all linkage components and accessories to complete the basic model: control surface horns, pushrods, screw fixings, wheels, fueltank fittings, and much more.
