WP SPIRIT OF ST. LOUIS Graupner 6231 With his perilous non-stop solo crossing of the Atlantic, the American Charles Lindbergh achieved world-wide fame in 1927, taking off in New York on 20 May at 7.52 am, and landing in Paris on 21 May at 22.22 pm. Charles Lindbergh chose a standard Ryan M-2 postal aircraft for his exploit, although he had it modified specifically for his record flight. In honour of his sponsors, the St. Louis Chamber of Trade, Lindbergh christened the aircraft “Spirit of St. Louis”. The GRAUPNER model is designed to a scale of about 1:14, and is an accurate miniature of the full-size. It is capable of a very good performance powered by a geared SPEED 400 power system.

Illustrated building instructions in German, English and French. Factory-covered components including fuselage, fin and tailplane, wing and ailerons. White vacuum-moulded ABS motor cowl with dummy radial engine, pre-formed undercarriage parts, two 50 mm Ø light-weight foam rubber wheels, small parts and linkage hardware pack, large-area decal sheet.
