WP LOTSE Graupner 2164 A pilot boat is a type of vessel used for transporting a pilot from land to a specific ship. The pilot is an experienced seaman, generally one who has passed an examination. His duty is advising and assisting a captain in navigation his ship in harbour regions, difficult river sections and channels. To this end pilot stations have been set up to suit local requirements.
The LOTSE model is a semi-scale replica of a pilot boat. The kit contains moulded ABS plastic parts, such as hull, deck shell, cabin superstructure, which simplify greatly the assembly. Building time is greatly reduced by the provision of many
injection-moulded parts. Equipped with one of
the recommended E-motors the pilot boat travels at a remarkable clip of speed.
Quickbuild plan showing R/C installation, building instructions in German, English, French and Dutch. Hull, boat deck, cabin superstructure, inflatable boat and other parts moulded of ABS plastic.
