WP KLEMM 25 Graupner 4685 This little sport plane, plainly the symbol of German lightplane construction, was developed in the mid-thirties by Messrs. KLEMM of Boeblingen, as a sport and touring air plane. The first model flew powered by a DAIMLER F 7502 engine delivering a scant 20 PS. ln the course of its development the plane was equipped with not less than 14 different types of powerplants. Equipped with the 80 PS HIRTHHM 60 R the plane attained a top speed of 160 km/h (100 m. p. h.). For modelling purposes the original is definitely ideally suitable. As a result the legendary flight characteristics of the fullsize plane have been transferred to the scaled-down to 1/10th model: Inherent stability, perfectly uncritical flight characteristics, no vices. A special drive unit incorporating the SPEED 400 electricmotorgets the model up into the air without problems. Durationof flight with the prescribed 0.7 Ah main drive battery is approx. 7-8 minutes. The flight of the model is controlled by elevator and ailerons Supplementary rudder control has been considered, see plan. While use of a combustion engine for powering a model of this category is not exactly typical the plan shows the installation of a COX combustion engine. Profusely pre-fabbed parts simplify the assembly
of the model The detachable wing of rib/sparconstruciton is of the 3-piece variety. Quickbuild plan incl. R/C installation, illustrated
