WP KANGAROO m.Designlackierun Graupner 6264.100 The KANGAROO is a jet trainer which is available from GRAUPNER as an all-GRP model, the major components pigmented in two colours (red and white). The model is highly impressive in the air with its characteristic delta planform and elegant appearance. Its flying characteristics over a broad speed range are exceptional, and especially so at low speed. The slow flying speed can be minimised further by extending the optional speedbrake (landing flap), which is installed in the underside of the fuselage; this allows the model to be taken off and landed on quite short strips. Fitted with a powerful JetCat P80 or P120 turbine the model is effortlessly capable of powerful vertical climbs to the limits of vision. Preparing the model for flight is very straightforward due to the unrestricted access to the turbine and the excellent access to the airborne technology in the fuselage via the large canopy. The optional retractable undercarriage (Order No. 175) is supplied with pneumatic brakes fitted as standard. The level of pre-fabrication of this all-glass model is extremely high, so the aircraft can be ready for flying within a very short time. Nevertheless, it should only be flown by modellers with considerable expertise and experience of very high-speed model aircraft. All control surfaces, including the rudders, are supplied already hinged using elastic flaps, andall servo wells, openings for pushrod guides and glue-fitting horns are machine-cut as standard. The kit also includes a motor pylon for a pusher-configuration internal combustion motor, and in this form the KANGAROO can also be flown as a beginners jet trainer, or by pilots who are not yet ready for the considerable expense of turbine operation. handling turbine-powered model aircraft calls for the greatest care and special technical expertise.
