WP ERGO 50 montiert,mit OS Mo Graupner 4465 The ERGO 50 is a further development of the
ERGO 30 offering higher performance. It retains
the basic chassis assembly but is designed for a 7.5 cm³ motor, has a larger main rotor diameter and a correspondingly longer tail boom. The rotor head is fitted with ballrace thrust bearings as standard. The model can be set up for any style of flying ranging from quiet, stable hovering to extremeaerobatics ("3D" flying) to suit the skill level of the pilot; the helicopter is therefore equally suitable for beginer and expert. The single-stage main gearbox is supported in a rugged chassis based on multi-part aluminium side frames, and this structure also accommodates the receiving system components. The main rotor spins to the right (clockwise as seen from above). The model features an auto-rotation freewheel; the tail rotor is driven by a toothed belt and is dis-engaged during auto-rotation landings. Control of the swashplate is by mechanical mixer and oversi-zed bellcranks, a system which virtually eliminates all traces of slop. To start the motor an electric starter with a special hexagon starter adaptor is required. The fuselage is moulded in tough plastic, while the main rotor blades are of wood, covered with plastic film.
