WP EDGE Graupner 6258 The EDGE 540 is an aerobatic aeroplane which is currently flown at National Championships level in the USA. The machine is in short-run series production. It represents a mixture of the EA 230, EA 300 and Wiggens, i.e. the basic airfoils, moment arms and axes of these aircraft were adopted and revised. In the design of our model we were particularly keen to obtain good snap-roll characteristics, but the model can still be flown relatively slowly on the landing approach. The model is of conventional all-wood construction, with local reinforcements at highly stressed areas. The wing panels and tailplane are of built-up construction, and all major components - fuselage, wing panels and tail panels - are factory-covered in several colours. The rudder and elevator are actuated directly using servos mounted just forward of the control surfaces, ensuring a slop-free linkage of these controls. Little work is required to complete the model: attaching the tail panels, joining the wing panels, installing the fueltank, motor and RC system.

Assembly instructions in German, English and French, with stage photos; fuselage, wing panels, tailplane and fin, GRP motor cowl, undercarriage, wheels, fueltank, canopy, pilot figure, decal sheet, small items, linkage hardware pack.
