This drive unit is especially designed for slow-flying, small lightweight model planes, such as KLEMM L 25. 7-/8-cell NiCad batteries of .7 Ah or lower capacity are suitable power supplies. The GRP case of the gearbox comes with an integral motor mount for installation into a power model. The driving shaft is ballbearing-supported at the front. The bronze-sintered bearing at the rearend can be exchanged by a ballbearing with flange (No. 1703.2). For installation into an E/F sailplane model the gearbox unit with installation platen (No. 1703.1) may be retrofitted for attachment at the firewall of the fuselage. Weight approx. 100 g.
