Its advantages include virtually dust-free sanding, no tendency for the sanding disc to gum up, reduced rates of wear and higher effectiveness - to name but a few. The material can be used for sanding balsa, hardwood, plastic, paint, soft aluminium etc. The effective life of the sanding grid is several times longerthan that of ordinary abrasive paper. Less force is required when sanding as the abrasive grid is very aggressive in its action; the working time is therefore greatly reduced. The abrasive grids are available in the form of a circular 150 mm Ø sanding disc and two rectangular sanding plates or blocks, each 125 x 70 mm in size.
