Careful geometric design and a coil balance spring minimise the forced required for extension / retraction, so no special servo is required. The retract unit locks at both end-points. The assembly is designed to be mounted on two formers in the glider´s fuselage. The retract unit improves the overall visual effect of a model glider considerably, especially if it is of a modern full-size sailplane.
