Cap 232 Graupner 6248.M When we decided to produce a model of the renowned aerobatic machine made by the Mudry company we opted for the version with the Breitling
colour scheme. The model´s compact dimensions enable the pilot to practise serious aerobatics using no more than a small two-stroke motor of 7.45 cc. The model´s layout and wing section endow it with very neutral flying characteristics, and it responds immediately to every control command of the pilot without any unpleasant surprises. Nevertheless, this is not a beginner´s model; the CAP 232 reqous, but even so, potential pilots should certainly have prior experience in flying full-house aerobatic power models before trying their hand at the CAP. The model is of conventional built-up construction, i.e. sheeted fuselage over formers, sheeted rigid foam turtle deck, built-up tail surfaces, sheet wings with ribs and spar. The fuselage, wing and tail panels are supplied ready-built, and covered in iron-on film. The cowl and wheel spats are of GRP, while the canopy takes the form of a vacuum-moulding. Completing the model just calls for fixing the tail panels to the fuselage, joining the wing panels, and installing the motor, fueltank and receiving system. The rudder and elevator are operated by means of the new Direct-Steel system (DSS), which ensures a slop-free linkage. This is essential for accurate aerobatics.uires prior experience with full-house aerobatic aircraft. The model is of conventional built-up construction, and the airframe is adequately reinforced at all highly stressed points. The motor cowl and wheel fairings are moulded in GRP. Little work is required to complete the model, e.g. joining the wing panels, attaching the tail surfaces, and installing the motor, fueltank and RC components. The rudder and elevator are actuated using the Direct-Steel-System (DSS) which ensures a slop-free linkage of these controls - a basic requirement for precision aerobatics.
